About YWAM

What is YWAM

Youth With A Mission International, also known as YWAM (pronounced “WHY-wham”), is a global movement of Christians from many cultures, age groups, and Christian traditions, dedicated to serving Jesus throughout the world.

YWAM’s heart is ‘TO KNOW GOD AND MAKE HIM KNOWN’ by giving young people (aged 9 to 90) opportunities to demonstrate the love of Jesus to the whole world, according to His command in Mark 16:15:

he said to them, “go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”

Globally, there are more than 1,100 YWAM locations operating in over 180 countries, with a total staff of over 18,000.

Ember Ink is an extension of YWAM San Francisco Bay Area, with the vision to ‘Engage the San Francisco Bay Area with a loving God’.
